The Canadian Civil Liberties Association's (CCLA) second annual RightsWatch Conference will bring together 70 leading law students, articling students and young lawyers from across the country for an intimate conference on civil liberties issues. The event also offers new members of the profession a chance to engage informally with leading jurists and senior members of the Bar, who will be serving as conference speakers.

RightsWatch is primarily aimed at law students, articling students and young lawyers. Nonetheless, space provided, it is open to all members of the public for registration. Registration includes access to the Opening Night Reception on Friday, October 15, 2010, and the full-day conference on Saturday, October 16, 2010, including breakfast and lunch. Registration rates are as follow:

General registration for members of the public: $25

Law students and articling students: $20

Members of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association: $10

Members of the CCLA/PBSC RightsWatch Program: No charge

Unfortunately, the CCLA cannot provide funding to finance the attendance of individuals at the conference. We do encourage law students and articling students to seek out funding from their faculties and employers, respectively.
